Growth types: compare a plan, not a tier list

In Unicorn Overlord, a growth choice is useful when it answers a concrete question: does this unit need more survivability, damage, speed or consistency for the job it has in your squad?

Data status: prototype seedThe calculator uses a normalized comparison model and keeps the source revision in the result. It is not a promise of an official in-game value.

Four practical presets

Balanced

A neutral control case. Use it to see how class growth alone moves the result.

Offensive

Weights physical/magic attack, critical and accuracy. Test it on damage roles.

Defensive

Weights HP, defenses and guard. Test it on a frontline that must survive first contact.

Swift

Weights evasion, initiative and accuracy. Test it where turn order or avoidance matters.

How to test a growth type

  1. Open the stat calculator and set the class and level you actually plan to use.
  2. Keep the character and class fixed; change one growth input at a time.
  3. Turn on “Compare a second setup” and inspect deltas, not just the biggest single number.
  4. Carry the chosen result into the team builder and check whether the five-person unit covers frontline, damage and support jobs.

Rounding matters

The model uses half-up rounding at each documented step. JavaScript's default Math.round behavior around negative halves is not a substitute for an explicitly tested rule. When a value matters, record the game version, platform, region and the in-game sample used to verify it.
